Asset Creation (Windows + Wall)
Now that I have furniture, I will be needing walls and windows that will set the boundaries of the play area. I have a choice if I should go in a direction where I keep it simple, but I decided to aim for somewhere in the middle where it still highlights the respective era and keeps the asset/model simple enough to distinguish it. One main problem that I encountered when making the window was creating the wall along with it. And again, using modifiers (mirror and symmetry) and different commands available in the software made the workflow seamless. I used a reference to capture a similar shape of the window, but I need to create some sort of "hole" in the shape of the created window. I have tried doing a "boolean" method but somehow it was quite destructive and does not give the right topology I want for the model. So I decided to create "edge loops" to create a shape of the window and maintain the quads of the created object.
