Asset Creation (Magic Mirror)


For all of the periods, I want to include a portal that transfers the players to different eras. For this specific time period, I chose to do a magic mirror that is big enough to capture the player's attention and invite them to interact with it.

I did my best to follow the same structure of the existing furniture applied in this design. By using simplified shapes and a balance of complexity of added details. The tools that helped me a lot in making the object are the symmetry tool and mirror to keep them balanced and cut down the time for me to do both sides. This allows me to be convenient with my actions and effective precise modelling.

For the finalization, I added extra effects like most assets do and applied particle systems to show that there is an interactive action within the object created. The material that I also used in the "mirror plane" is a shader that is made in Unity's shader graph. Animations are all made inside the game engine to have predictable outcomes.
