Asset Creation (Chest)


One of the most iconic object that I almost forgot to include in this time period is the classic chest.

I started the model by making rectangle shape and extruded the top face and carefully making a "curved" like structure by aligning and resizing the vertex of its sides only. I tried to do a bevel initially but it does not give me the result I want and it creates multiple polygon counts to compensate with the shape I wanted to achieve.

I also discovered the array modifier and avoiding "freehand" duplication of each objects and using the modifier gives me more option to be more precise with each objects carefully placed and saves a lot of time when duplicating multiple objects.
